At the end of 2015 SAM set up a pilot project of the artists' residence 'Art Production / Production of Art'.
The curator of the first residences was Bertrand Gosselin (France). Visiting SAM for the first time he realized the existence of the two personalities in one area - museum and factory. At the same time, in his opinion, their relationship aren't exactly equal: there are street art in the factory, but for some reason there is no production in the territory of the museum. That's why Bertrand decided to bring the street and public art into line with the production.
Within two weeks artists from Russia and France were living in the residence and making objects of art using the wastes of production and in the direct connection with the environment of the factory and its workers. During the project 24 objects of art were made (installations, murals, sound art, etc.).
